In the summer of 2019 a perfect partnership was formed, friends Olena Heu and Pali Kaaihue paired up and joined forces to travel to Alaska as part of a Doko Ga TV adventure mania series of shows. Since then, the Da Best Hawaii creator and Doko Ga TV creator have been working together ever since. 

We are pleased to announce a continued partnership between the two friends involving both shows Doko Ga TV and Da Best Hawaii. You can watch Doko Ga TV on Hawaiian TelCom and on KHNL Saturdays and on K5 Sundays, beginning in September Doko Ga TV will feature quick 2 min clips of their favorite Da Best Hawaii episodes. 

Be sure to tune in and watch Doko Ga TV every week Saturday on KHNL 2pm and Sunday 8:30pm on K5. Pali, Olena and special guests showcase adventure mania and some oishii places to eat, visit and support!

Wow, this year makes 2 years since Da Best Hawaii was launched. It has been an amazing ride and we are so thankful and grateful to our fantastic partners, supporters, followers and fans. 

This past summer we started to think about other ways to do great story telling...and with so many wonderful stories under our belt, it just made sense to take these interviews and share them. 

Perhaps every month, we will feature a past episode, unedited and audio only on our latest podcast -

Here is the first one! A great talk story with Maui resident and Grammy winner Kalani Pe'a. 

Just one month after our launch the feedback, results and growth has been so wonderful! We truly appreciate all of our fans, followers and features for joining us on this momentous journey!

So far our reach on Facebook alone has exceeded 15,000 people.  And for the month of June our impressions on all social and internet platforms has hit close to 30,000. 

Beginning July 1st we have some very exciting news to share, both Hawaiian TelCom and American Savings Bank are joining our ohana as presenting sponsors.

MY NEW PASSION PROJECT

Some of the most profound passions in my life have included sharing great stories, helping others and capturing memorable moments. From the young age of 6 years-old I began to  photograph people, places and things. In elementary school I was a nationally recognized writer and photographer, in high school I anchored the morning announcements and in the 6th grade I emceed our May Day program. Then I started a life-long effort to give back to the community by volunteering. These values have remained strong and an utmost priority in my life. 

Here's where I segue into my next passion project: Da Best Hawaii™
People want the best in life. If that means exploring the best places, eating the best food, finding the best products and sharing the best experiences there is a constant theme -- its all Da Best. My idea to showcase Da Best Hawaii comes from my many years of involvement, dining, traveling, meeting new people and learning about history, inspiration and motivation. My abilities as a journalist, writer, researcher, blogger, television personality, social media influencer and community member... have helped me to hone my skills and thus share compelling, award-winning, creative stories. 

Taking together my passions for photography, videography, storytelling and helping the community/local businesses -- I am launching a brand new medium to showcase the very best of Hawaii digitally and on a social sphere entirely produced, photographed, edited, curated and hosted by yours truly!

Da Best Hawaii will showcase 4 simple things: 
B - Beginning and how it all Began
E - Entrepreneur or Expert (chat with an official who will give us a behind the scenes and all the inside scoop.)
S- Story everyone has a story and here we tell it and share it.
T - Get a Taste (showcase the must Taste or Try). 

So do me a favor and get ready for my new project that is entirely about giving back and sharing the love. Lookout for segments and bite-sized webisodes that will give you a behind-the-scenes look at Da Best Hawaii.
